# How to create a coupon for a specific product?

A product-specific coupon lets you apply a discount only to selected items
instead of the entire order. This article will walk you through creating a
coupon for a specific product in your online store.


START CREATING A NEW COUPON

Open your StoreLink dashboard and go to the Coupons section. Click +New Coupon
to begin.






CHOOSE THE COUPON TYPE

Select Amount Off Product as the coupon type. This option applies the discount
to specific products rather than the full order total.






COUPON CODE

Enter the coupon code customers will use at checkout.




SELECT THE DISCOUNT FORMAT

Under the discount value settings, choose the discount format you want to offer.
For example, you can select a flat discount if you want to offer something like
$5 off a product.






CHOOSE THE PRODUCT

Under Discount Items, choose Products. Then click Select Products to choose the
specific product the coupon should apply to.



Select your product and click on the Add button.





SAVE THE COUPON

Once your settings are complete, click Create Coupon to save it. The coupon will
then be ready for customers to use on the selected product.






TEST THE COUPON

To confirm everything is working, visit your store, add the selected product to
the cart, and go to checkout. Enter the coupon code and click Apply.





The discount will appear only for the selected product.
