How to test my online store before going live?

It is important to test your store before it goes live to ensure everything functions correctly.

Turn on Testing Mode

To test, switch your store to test mode by navigating to Settings > General > Store status and selecting Testing.

In Testing mode, your store is password-protected. Access it using the password test123. You can change this password in the Password protection section.

Select Password Field

Place a test order

Now go to your store and place a test order. You will see the order number will appear as a test order number.

Orders placed in testing mode will have order numbers starting with "test_" to distinguish them from real orders.

Confirm Order Success

Visit Orders page to see the details of your test order. Here you can continue testing by exploring the shipping methods.

Access Specific Order

After testing, go to Settings and set the Store status to Open to make it accessible to public.

Note

  • Test orders will appear in Analytics > Total orders.

  • Test orders will not affect your plan usage.
