You can connect StoreLink to AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT and manage your store just by chatting. Ask what sold this week, mark an order as shipped or add a new product, and the assistant does it for you. You can even create a new store from a chat.
Here's how to set it up and what you can do with it.
What you can do
Create a store: Tell the assistant what you sell and it creates a store for you, ready to share.
Manage products: Add products, change prices and stock, upload product images and hide products you're not selling.
Handle orders: Find an order, mark it as shipped with a tracking number, add a note, or create an order for a customer who ordered by phone or chat.
Check your sales: See what sold, your best sellers, your busiest days and how quickly you ship orders.
Design: Change your theme, colors, logo, menus and add sections and custom pages.
Settings: Update shipping, checkout fields, your domain, language, SEO, team members and more.
Payments, billing and deleting a store can only be managed from your StoreLink dashboard.
Before you start
You need a StoreLink account. If you don't have a store yet, the assistant can create one for you.
The assistant can only do what your role allows in each store. For example, only the store owner can change the domain. Your plan limits also apply, so if your plan doesn't include coupons, the assistant can't create one either.
Connect your assistant
Go to your StoreLink dashboard and click on AI agents in the sidebar. This page has setup steps for each app and the connector URL:
https://dashboard.store.link/mcpClaude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and mobile)
In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors, click on + and choose Add custom connector.
Name it
StoreLinkand pastehttps://dashboard.store.link/mcp.Click on Connect.
Sign in with your StoreLink account and click on Allow access.
On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner needs to add the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors. Members can then click on Connect.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
Create a new app for a remote MCP server. Name it
StoreLink, choose OAuth and pastehttps://dashboard.store.link/mcp.Sign in with your StoreLink account and click on Allow access.
Claude Code
Install the StoreLink plugin. It connects Claude Code to your store and teaches it how StoreLink works:
/plugin marketplace add microdotcompany/storelink-agent-plugin
/plugin install storelink@storelinkThen run /mcp, choose storelink and sign in.
Codex
codex plugin marketplace add microdotcompany/storelink-agent-plugin
codex plugin add storelink@storelinkCodex will ask you to sign in the first time it uses StoreLink.
Other apps
Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can connect using the same URL. You'll also find setup steps for Cursor on the AI agents page.
Try it out
Once connected, here are a few things you can ask:
"Create a store for my homemade candles"
"What sold this week?"
"Mark order 10452 as shipped"
"Add a product called Classic Tee at $24 in the Tees category"
"Create a 10% coupon called WEEKEND10 that ends Sunday"
"Write an About page for my store"
If you have more than one store, the assistant will ask which one to use.
Create a new store from a chat
Just tell the assistant what you want to sell. It will ask you for anything else it needs, like the store name, the currency and where you want to receive orders (email, WhatsApp or Google Sheets). If you sell physical products, it will also ask whether customers can pick up, get delivery or both.
You can also give it a few products with prices to start with. If you don't, your store will have some sample products that you can replace later in your Product Sheet.
StoreLink keeps your products and orders in Google Sheets. So the first time you create a store, the assistant will share a link to give StoreLink access to your Google account. Once you've allowed access, let the assistant know and it will continue.
Your store will be ready in about 30 seconds, and the assistant will share its link with you. To start accepting payments, add a payment method like Stripe or PayPal from your dashboard.
Things to keep in mind
Changes made by the assistant go live on your store right away. There are no drafts.
The assistant will check with you before it updates an order status or creates an order, since your customer gets an email. It will also ask before deleting a coupon or page, or changing the columns in your Product Sheet.
The assistant ignores any instructions written in order notes, customer names or addresses, so customers can't use them to make changes to your store.
Privacy and security
You sign in to StoreLink directly, so the AI app never sees your StoreLink password.
To answer your questions, the assistant reads the store data it needs. This can include customer names, emails and addresses from orders. Your AI provider handles that data under its own privacy policy. To learn how StoreLink handles your data, see our privacy policy.
Disconnect an app
Go to your StoreLink dashboard and click on AI agents. Under Your connected apps, click on Disconnect next to the app.
The app will lose access to all your stores right away. You can connect it again anytime. You can also remove the connector from inside the AI app.
